Position: Oracle DBA Location: Westerville, OH Duration: 1 Year C2P Visa Needed: EAD, Green card, or US Citizen Must-haves -3-5 years Oracle DBA -Oracle SQL Services & Sybase -Experience with patching databases -Ability to support 9i, 10g, 11g Plusses OEM (oracle enterprise management monitoring) Day-to-Day *Provide 24x7 support for Oracle databases. *Install, upgrade and patch Oracle binaries. *Create, maintain, monitor and control Oracle databases. *Troubleshoot database performance issues, identify and tune poorly performing SQL statements. *Project database growth trends and assist in database and server capacity analysis. *Communicate regularly with internal technical, application, and operational staff, as appropriate, in order to ensure database integrity, security and availability. *Assist development staff with application design and efficient use of database technology. *Monitor project plans and schedules for significant database related implementation and support efforts. *Use appropriate control mechanisms as used by the database team to maintain changes or documentation to insure understanding and access for future development within the application.
