I have a new long-term contract for a SharePoint Developer in
New York City. Face to face interview will be required.
*Senior SharePoint Developer*
The role of Senior SharePoint Developer will entail developing SharePoint
components including but not limited to web parts, lists, web pages,
workflows as well as involved in creating technical specifications to
include, but not limited to Prototypes, Proof of Concepts and Use-Case
scenarios. Candidate will play a critical team role providing Sharepoint
Intranet, Internet and Extranet applications.
Responsible for developing code that meets the design / requirement
specifications provided within the established technical framework
- Designs, develops, debugs, produces, refines, tests, deploys,
maintains and documents SharePoint solutions using customized as well as
out-of-the-box functionality including web parts, InfoPath forms, templates
and master pages
- Designs solutions that accurately reflect requirements and provide
innovative solutions to customer needs within the time and cost constraints
- Integrates enterprise data with SharePoint to include content
indexing, personalization, and workflow
- Oversees and participates in the architectural design, development
customization and integration efforts of solutions involving collaboration,
portals, content management, business process and forms.
- Keeps abreast of enhancements to system functionality that can be
achieved through upgrades or add-ons; makes recommendations on the adoption
of relevant technologies
- Leads the development and lifecycle evolution of standards, guidelines
and principles while ensuring best practices, standards and security
implementation strategies are followed.
- Leads internal customer SharePoint projects
- Interfaces with users, sponsors and stakeholders to determine their
needs
- Translates business needs into technical solutions; partners with
Business Analysts and Project Managers to distill business requirements
into technical functional specifications
*Desired Skills & Experience*
- Excellent knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, VS.Net
- Working with localization in SharePoint entailing variations and
language packs
- Understanding of SharePoint server farms and scalable solutions
- Solid knowledge in application development life cycle, including
requirements definition, system design and testing / QA and transition to
production
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and methodology
- Knowledge of configuration management practices and procedures
- Working knowledge of the SharePoint object model
- Experience developing workflows
