Position: Business Analyst Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 6 Months *Note* : Need locals, with lead and health & life science experience is a must Description : Requirements: Must-have skills: -- Minimum 7 years experience in Business and Systems Analysis and Design, Process modeling and re-engineering -- Expertise in Health&Life Science industry specific analysis and design -- Participation from start to finish in at least 3 medium to large enterprise-level engagements, especially in a n-tier distributed environment -- Familiarity with relational database systems like Sybase, SQL Server and Oracle-9i -- Strong and proven skills in creating quality documents such as business requirements / use-cases, functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and user manuals -- Working knowledge of UML and SQL -- Creative and thriving under pressure -- Ability to interface with business partners at various levels -- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation Nice-to-have skills: -- Experience in delivering projects in the area of Health Care -- Project Management experience -- Familiarity with different development methodologies -- Experience with automated testing tools Responsibilities: -- act as the communication conduit between project stakeholders and application development team -- perform and coordinate the analysis and design of business systems -- work closely with business partners and application development team in gathering and documenting project requirements -- demonstrate complete understanding of business partners’ needs from both functional and systems perspectives -- facilitate JAD sessions with members of the development team and business partners -- create and maintain formal project artifacts for requirements/use-cases, functional specifications, and test plans -- provide first level functional support for assigned production applications and development projects. -- lead a small to medium team of analysts and testers -- mentor junior team members -- perform requirements management, from inception to implementation, including scope control and tracking -- identify and escalate incomplete or ambiguous requirements that need project management and stakeholder discussion. -- have some administrative and reporting responsibilities -- create quality documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and status reports -- review existing production processes and help improve / redefine systems processes and infrastructure required to support the application environment. -- provide functional assistance to the technical team in the resolution of production problems. -- communicate to business partners of system events such as outages, maintenance shut-downs, bug fixes, etc. -- will empathize with business partners and show a keen interest in comprehending their problems and in proposing creative and alternative solutions -- assist in quality improvement activities -- evangelize and champion quality Thanks & regards Shyam TekisHub consulting services Ph;617-337-3038 Yahoo & G talk : shyam.Tekishub -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
