Project: AIX Sys Admin required to ensure delivery of
CDW Full volume test environment and deployment of Production.
BTI: CDW LR - Datastage Database Upgrade
Statement: •Provide systems administration, operational support and
problem resolution for more complex Freddie Mac server systems
•Coordinate the installation and upgrades of
hardware and software.
•Interact with IT staff and vendors regarding
complex testing or troubleshooting issues.
•Provide user training and documents standards and
operating procedures.
•Provide input on budget, strategic & tactical
planning, process improvements, and engineering design.
•Present project status, issues and other key
information to management, peers and stakeholders. Provide effective
communication at all levels of management,
peers and customers through clarity of expression and the ability to
organize thoughts both written and oral.
•Job requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science
or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and
experience from which comparable knowledge
and skills may be acquired; and ten years of work experience in AIX systems
operations and administration or
telecommunications network operations.

Extensive knowledge of IBM p5/p6/p7 server
architecture and AIX 5.3/6.1 operating system
Can work independently to
•install/configure/performance tune/support AIX on
Power platforms,Virtual IO Servers, HMC (Hardware Maintenance Console)
•create and configure LPARs.
•support, performance tune enterprise databases
(UDB and Oracle)
•Experience installing database software,
preferably DB2 and/or Oracle
•Experience with trouble-tracking software such as
REMEDY
•Experience with backup/restore software such as TSM
•Experience with NIM
•Experience with GPFS
•Experience with EMC Power Path
•Installed and configured Cluster Systems
Management (CSM)
