Title: Remedy ARS 6.x Developer Location: Alexandria VA Duration: 6 months *Rate: 52/h on CTC* Remedy ARS 6.x Developer that has Business Objects Enterprise 11.5, Oracle 10G experience, Visual Basic, and experience with Kinetic Survey and Proctran (less important). The primary role of this developer is to provide O&M support and minor enhancements for the USPTO's Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) where USPTO stores all agency assets (i.e. furniture, PCs, etc...) attributable to each component of the business (i.e. patents, trademarks, corporate). The person must be mid to senior as they will be the single point of contact for maintenance and support. Ideally, they will have experience migrating to more recent versions of Remedy but not a must have. As background, I believe the bulk of the work is extracting data from Remedy, loading into Business Objects, and supporting over 300 hundred reports that are used by USPTO. The hard core Remedy expertise is required, however, it's limited to O&M and requires about 25% of the persons time. The remaining 75% is supporting getting data out of Remedy into Oracle and the Business Objects support. With that in mind, I originally started down the path of a Business Objects person that had some limited Remedy experience. USPTO rejected saying I needed a person with the EAMS specific Remedy expertise. So, I looked at the incumbents and selected a few that would obviously have the skills. They still didn't like my solution because they believe I do not have enough Remedy expertise. In discussions with the TOM, they are not 100% sure how much Remedy they need but they are concerned that they have Remedy first and foremost. I've told them that it's difficult to find a single resource that has everything they need but they don't really care. So, I need a Remedy person with the asset management expertise that can also support the business objects and the integration of data between Remedy, oracle, and BO.
