Scope of Work*
Platform Deployment Engineering team seeks a contract resource for a 3-6
month engagement focused on integration of educational institution student
and back office systems via the Apollo Technology Platform. The deliverable
work for this engagement is the creation and/or refactoring of Web
Services, PL/SQL packages, ETL scripts, and implementation of database
schemas as specified by PDE Solution Architects. This work includes
analysis of architecture and requirements and subsequent creation of
detailed designs as well as actual implementation of designs.

Summary of Activities*
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Systems Analysts,
Software Engineers, Project Managers, and Solution Architects to ensure
that deliverable works meet functional and non-functional requirements and
conform reference architectures. The day-to-day activity may include
analysis of legacy systems/databases, data modeling, design/optimization of
PL/SQL queries and procedures, light Java development, and documentation
(detail design, modeling).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*
The ideal candidate will be a quick and independent learner, capable of
absorbing deep technical concepts by leveraging a variety of sources, and
be comfortable engaging with client and vendor technical personnel. S/He
will be a self-starter and be able to work independently to deliver
specified functionality based on requirements and guidance from PDE team
members. The

following are required qualifications:*
• 6+ years experience in technology-related field
• 3+ years experience with Service Oriented Architecture
• 5+ years experience with Oracle in a developer role (PL/SQL)
• 3+ years experience with one or more leading ETL tools
• 5+ years experience implementing/integration ERP systems
• Demonstrable expertise with multiple integration patterns
• Strong skills and experience with data modeling in a web-scale
environments
• Excellent interpersonal, organization, and analytical skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• 4-year degree in Management/Computer Information Systems, or related field
• Experience with operational support systems in Higher Education domain
• Experience with SunGard Banner or other commercial Student Information
Systems
• Experience integrating Peoplesoft, Oracle Financials, and other
enterprise back office systems
• Expertise in EDI standards
• Java development experience using major frameworks (Spring, etc.)
• Expertise with enterprise/data security best practices
