Storage Administrator (DCPS Storage Support)
Baltimore, MD
Duration: 2 years+
Position Description:
9 years Experience in Storage Administration of DB2,
EMC SRDF, SNAPS.
The Lead Storage Administrator is responsible for all
aspects of storage operations, including systems analysis and maintenance,
and support, capacity planning, and subsystems configuration. They will
also work with the Storage Engineering teams to provide operations insight
into storage and backup infrastructure strategy and direction.
Develops long-term strategy for historical data
retention and archival plan for storage needs; defines data retention,
backup, and recovery. Contribute to the development of enterprise standards
to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms.
Ability to work in a team environment with analysts,
management, vendors, and customers. Must have demonstrated experience in
storage computing environment focusing on subsystems configuration,
integration and management of complex applications, databases and operating
systems.
Knowledge of Symmetrix, Time finder, EMC SRDF/S,
SNAPS, Time Finder, Clones, and BCV*s, EMC Control Center, SMC, Clarion, a
plus. FDR (IDP-Innovation suite of product) IBM suite of products not to
exclude FDSS, HSM,CA1 CA-Vantage, BMC (suite of products).
