Title: GIS Geomodeler Consultant Location: Edmond, Oklahoma Duration: 6-12 Months Starts: January 30, 2012 No of Positions: 1 Rate: $DOE Required skills: . Must have 4-5 years of Geomodeler experience with Oil and Gas experience. . Their strategy is focused on discovering, acquiring and developing conventional and unconventional natural gas reserves onshore in the U.S. . The Geomodeler should have strong experience in geo-cellular modeling and geo-statistical analyses. . The successful candidate will work with multiple cross-disciplinary teams to help create 3D earth models that will be used for reservoir simulation, geo-steering, and other purposes. In addition, responsibilities and requirements will include: Development and/or reservoir geomodeling of conventional or unconventional reservoirs: Fundamental knowledge of structural geology, stratigraphy (litho, sequence and electro facies), porosity and permeability, fluid saturations and natural fractures. . Experience in integrating essential aspects of geophysics, petrophysics, geomechanics and reservoir engineering. . Data collection and data quality assurance skills. . Applied experience with Jewel Suite, Petrel or other static geomodeling software tools. . Fundamental understanding/background in dynamic simulation is a plus . Educational Requirements: Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Geology or Geosciences.
