We have an urgent requirement for the position SQL DBA with Sybase. Please send me the suitable profile to [email protected] Sr.Database Administrator (SQL Server) w/ Sybase Location: Nashville, TN Duration: 12 Month Contract Note: Need someone with equal skills in Oracle Database Administration, and ideally Sybase REQUIREMENTS:- SQL Server 2005 Environment (Primary Skills):- - Can backup and restore prod db's to test/UAT for programmers/testing - Setup SQL Server database Security - logins, users, roles, permissions etc... - Familiar with creating SQL Server objects: tables, constraints, indexes; Functions; stored-procedures; triggers etc... - Know how to Import/export table data from database and non-database sources - Familiar with DTS/SSIS to support current SQL Server jobs - Understand how to work with a Clustered SQL Server - Cluster Manager ; failover instances etc...with both default and named-instance SQL Server instances - Familiar with Transact-SQL - Familiar with using SQL Profiler (traces) for problem solving - Familiar with resolving database errors - Familiar with trouble shooting /application connectivity issues Oracle Environment (Some familiarity in this area):- - Familiar with Oracle Tools - SQL WorkSheet, Oracle Enterprise , SQL loader etc... - Familiar with creating Oracle database objects - Familiar with setting up Database Security - Familiar with setting Unix Cron schedules - Familiar with Unix corn shell scripting - Familiar with PL/SQL - packages, procedures, functions etc... - Familiar with various backup/restore methods - cold backup (OS files); logical backups (import/export); hot backups (RMAN) - Familiar with managing storage - tablespaces, datafiles - Familiar with trouble shooting Oracle database issues - alert log, traces, dumps GENERIC:- - Able to setup FTP's for incoming table loads for both SQL Server and Oracle . - Able to manage assignments with deadlines and also any support issues that arise concurrently - Assist Programmers/desktop Services/users with application database connectivity issues - Assist Network Services with DB related Vendor software installations - Able to provide Disaster Recovery support PLUS SKILLS (not required):- Sybase Gateway Environment: - Understand how to setup Accounts in Gateway - Understand how to setup new OpenServer Applications - rpc's , trnsgrps etc... - Understand how to request RCT/RDO table entries for DB2 related OpenServer Applications - Able to troubleshoot Gateway problems - IBM DataStage 7.5 -- Thank & Regards Aravind Technical Recruiter Blink Technologies Partners, Inc Phone : 817-458-9905| Fax: 817-997-0097 [email protected] <[email protected]> |www.blinktp.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
