 We are currently recruiting for five (5) ETL Developers for or client in
Tallahassee, Florida. These positions are for a minimum of 1-year, with
possible extensions up to 3-years. Please review the requirements below,
and if you feel you are qualified, It is mandatory that you provide three
(3) references to be submitted for this particular position.


This is a staff augmentation effort which will require *five on-site
Programmer Analysts - ETL Development* from March 1 2012 through March
2012, not to exceed 2080 hours per fiscal year. The resulting contract may
be renewed for up to an additional one (1) 1-year increment(s) contingent
upon the renewal of DMS State Contract 973-561-010-1.

The vendor shall submit no more than three different candidates for these
positions. Each candidate must be submitted as a complete package
(including all required documents) in separate emails.

Candidate(s) will be interviewed and selected to serve as Programmer
Analysts - ETL Development responsible for requirements gathering,
analysis, development, testing and implementation of ETL
(Extract-Transform-Load) processes into and from multiple databases
including a Data Warehouse and multiple Data Marts being planned at the
Department and will report to the Project Manager. FLDOE is seeking
Programmer Analysts - ETL Development at intermediate to advanced levels
with the following minimum qualifications (must be clearly stated on the
resume and verifiable via reference checks).

The candidate selected shall work on-site at the FLDOE in Tallahassee,
Florida, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, and adhere to the published state
holiday schedule. Requests for time off or schedule variance must be
approved by the FLDOE contract manager per established process.

FLDOE is seeking five (5) Programmer Analysts - ETL Development who meets
all of the following “Minimum Qualifications”. Qualifications must be
clearly stated on the candidate’s resume and verifiable via reference
checks. Knowledge and proficiencies claimed by the candidate must be
clearly indicated on actual work experiences listed in the resume.

*Minimum Qualifications *

*1. Academic *1.1. Bachelor‘s Degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, Engineering or equivalent work experience



*2. Experience *2.1. General Experience: 5+ years experience in
requirements gathering, analysis, design, development and testing of
Extract Transform and Load processes

2.2. Relevant experience: 2.2.1. Experience in a data warehouse environment
preferred

2.2.2. Using an ETL tool such as IBM Datastage, SAS Enterprise Data
Integration Server, etc.





*3. Knowledge *3.1. Databases: 3.1.1. Extensive knowledge of Relational
Database Management Systems (RDBMS),

3.1.2. Extensive knowledge of OLAP and multi dimensional databases.

3.1.3. Extensive knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)



3.2. Relevant tools: 3.2.1. Knowledge of and working experience with ETL
tools like IBM Datastage.

3.2.2. Knowledge of and working experience with Microsoft Team Foundation
Server (TFS).



3.3. Metadata management: Knowledge of any metadata management tool.

3.4. Software tools: Knowledge of software tools, languages, scripts, and
shells that effectively support the data warehouse environment in different
operating system environments.

3.5. Process / Workflow: Proficient in designing workflows and scheduling,
understanding of the range of options and best practices for common ETL
design techniques such as change data capture, key generation and
optimization



*4. General *4.1. Office Tools: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and
Word, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Project

4.2. Communication: Team player with excellent verbal and written
communication skills





*Responsibilities *

The Programmer Analysts - ETL Development will be responsible for the
following:

1. Understanding business and customer requirements that drive the analysis
and design of technical solutions.

2. Participating in all phases of the development lifecycle, including
requirements gathering, analysis, design, test and integration of products.

3. Working with stakeholders in gathering and assessing business
information needs and preparing system requirements.

4. Independently designing, generate specifications, developing and unit
testing of process elements.

5. Research, evaluate and incorporate new technology and tools to enhance
the product development process.

6. Interact with Quality Assurance team for preparing test scripts, and
conducting tests and for data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing,
and data modeling for data warehouses.

7. Ensures compliance to standards through code walkthroughs and metadata
reports



*Deliverables *

Types of key deliverables include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Technical specifications for ETL processes

2. ETL process objects

3. Knowledge transfer/training of operations staff

4. Training/support material
