Job title: ETL Developer Duration: 6 month Contract Location: Austin, TX Interview: Phone + Inperson BI/Data Warehouse & ETL Developer whose primary responsibilities will be to analyze, design, develop, and support the business intelligence applications. Responsibilities: * Design, Develop, Test and Deploy ETL mappings using ODI and SSIS to integrate OLTP/Disparate data sources into Model / Star Schemas - both ROLAP (SQL Server 2008 R2) and MOLAP (Essbase). * Perform gap analysis of disparate systems, manage metadata, and develop conforming dimensions, members, hierarchies, business calculations, elements, attributes based on business requirements. * Design, develop and support Multi-Dimensional cubes. Design, Develop, Utilize MDX query language to access cubes. * Translate OLTP 3NF database designs into Modeled Business/Logical Table Relationships. * Design architecture diagrams for Entity Relationships of datamarts / schemas. * Develop procedures in SQL Server 2008 R2. Have extensive knowledge of SQL Server 2008 R2 database development concepts such as common table expressions, nested sub queries, indexed views, table partitioning, windowed functions, and aggregate functions. * Troubleshoot issues in reports related to data or formatting. * Contribute to Master Data Management strategy & processes though collaboration & management of data dictionary, entity definitions, hierarchies, business calculations, members. * Use ad-hoc queries to investigate data issues in relational source systems * Complete quality projects on time and on budget. * Analyze current and potential systems for conversions and product integration scenarios. * Assist BI/Reporting team with the execution and maintainence of appropriate Oracle Hyperion/OBIEE administration best practices and procedures * Assist with the design, development, testing, and documentation of BI/Reports to be delivered via Oracle's OBIEE suite of reporting tools * Design OBIEE/SQL Business Intelligence delivery approaches using Dashboards, Alerts, Queries, Reports, etc. * Write queries using SQL and MDX to produce reports for users. Qualifications: * 5+ years overall BI/DW experience including: data modeling, multi-dimensional modeling, ETL, and metadata development. * Must have a strong working knowledge of T-SQL, Oracle Data Integrator, SSIS and database schema design and ETL disciplines. * Master Data Management concepts and disciplines. * Must also possess good working knowledge of Multi-Dimensional cubes and MDX query language to access cubes * Experience in leading several full life cycle implementations and have an understanding of all aspects of an implementation project including, but not limited to, planning, analysis and design, configuration, development, conversions, system testing, cutover and production support. * A broad knowledge of design, function, and characteristics of database design, and development. This includes knowledge of integration of computer hardware, systems software, and application software. Also includes experience in debugging techniques needed to develop and maintain the Business Intelligence applications. * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related IT field or equivalent work experience. Professional certification in database administration preferred. Relevant experience with non-analytical degree or equivalent professional training may be substituted.
