We are seeking a Performance Testing Lead to be a part of our team of quality assurance experts; the ideal candidate is a passionate and hard working Software Quality Engineer who can work collaboratively with our team and lead the inception of Performance Testing best practices. Ample experience on software quality assurance and outstanding communication skills are highly valued attributes and as a bonus, this role will also provide the opportunity for you to train and develop your skills in cutting-edge technology platforms around Enterprise Business platforms. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Implement performance testing strategies across multiple projects and IT platforms based on the industry’s best practices and standards. • Define overarching performance testing framework and strategies across multiple projects and platforms • Define strategies to standardize the use of QA performance tools and processes based on quality assurance standards and best practices across multiple platforms. • Work with IT Leadership team along with multiple teams to define performance testing strategies. • Develop performance test plan. • Assess test readiness and conduct performance test. • Prepare performance test results, summary and recommendations documentation. • Troubleshoot performance testing bottlenecks across multiple layers of an application. • Walkthrough of the performance results/problems to the client. REQUIRED SKILLS: • Must have minimum 7 years experience in Performance Testing using HP Load Runner/ HP Performance Center. • Demonstrated experience in working with system stakeholders for performing requirements analysis, translating complex program requirements into testable objectives. • Good experience in performance testing especially complex high performance Commerce based web applications. • Should have worked on multiple protocols (Siebel web, HTTP/HTML, ODBC and Web services) • Ability to review & develop quantitative performance test requirements. • In depth knowledge and experience in Performance Testing Methodologies and Best Practices. • Ability to plan and manage Performance Testing. • Preparation of Performance test plans & test reports. • Experience in performance test estimation and process. • Ability to design and develop Performance Test Scripts and Scenarios. • Ability to provide guidance in building Performance Test Environments. • Setting-up the integrated environment for performance testing. • Ability to execute Scenarios and Monitor various web/app/db servers. • Ability to setup performance monitors and adding performance counters using monitoring tools like HP Site scope, Perfmon etc for performance metrics collection during performance test executions. • Ability to analyze and identify performance bottlenecks and make recommendations (Profiling & Diagnostics, CPU/Memory/IO utilization and so on). • Knowledge in monitoring tools such as Site scope, diagnostics, BAC etc. • Strong leadership skills to work with multiple levels across the organization. • Demonstrated experience leading QA engineers and mentoring less experienced staff. • Minimum 5 years experience analyzing functional and technical requirements and mapping documents and transforming them into a comprehensive Test Plan. • Minimum 5 years experience with application development life cycles (SDLC). • Must have 5 years QA testing processes including requirements analysis and traceability; test case development, test execution, and defect management. • Experience with Citrix protocol is a must. • Client needs someone who will own and drive the process. They want leadership/guidance from this role. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. DESIRED SKILLS: The following skills are not required, but considered a plus. • Experience with Quality Center. • Knowledge of S/W development processes and methodologies. • Should have hands on programming skills in at least one of technologies like C, C++, Java, .Net. • Solid verbal, written, and graphical communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and independently with personnel and clients at all levels. • Ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment. • Ability to interact with internal management team and external client contacts using strong leadership and communication skills. • Ability to meet tight deadlines. • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
