Systems Analyst Duration: 6 months and ext Location: Dallas, TX Summary Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. Prerequisites (Education, Experience, Specialized Knowledge and Skills, Certifications, Licenses, etc.) a) BS or BA in computer science or engineering field or equivalent experience b) 3+ years experience in Visual C#/.net with some experience in Visual C++. Experience with OO design and implementation, including multi-tier design. c) 2+ years experience with data model design and stored procedures, preferably in an Oracle environment. d) Experience working with offshore development teams is preferred e) 2+ years experience working with Microsoft Office applications to create design documentation (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio) f) The ability to work well with others. g) Experience with Uniface is a plus Specialized Knowledge and Skills a) Specify performance criteria with Product Architects. b) Perform requirements analysis from both a business/functional and technical viewpoint. c) Ownership of requirement and functional design documentation. d) Work directly with the client to gather and discover requirements as well as perform gap analysis between current state and future state business processes. e) Create functional and system design utilizing requirements and existing system functionality. f) Work with offshore team to explain/answer questions about design. g) Review requirements, designs, code, and test plans produced by onshore and offshore teams to ensure they are compliant with requirements and established standards. h) The incumbent could learn the job basics within 1 month by independent study of applications and source code with minimal help from existing business experts. i) Write and execute system test cases.
