*Job Title: SAP Basis Consultant * *Location: Wilmington, Delaware * *Duration: 6 Months* Responsibilities • Ensure meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) agreed with the customers • Handle escalations • Strong Client Facing Skills • Transition Management and stake holder management. • Perform SPOC role for the Offshore / Onsite team as applicable • Provide technical support and leadership in a complex mission critical SAP environment • Interface with the customer for issue resolution and providing status updates, building customer confidence in teams • Ensure all the supported components are maintained & optimized periodically. • Manage & consult on the design of hardware and software within the environment • Provide High Available solution designs • Performance Management • Project Consulting, Landscape Designing etc • Provide systems and technical guidance to the team. • Coordinate with other domains / Function teams and establish Implementation plan for changes / Basis Project for timely delivery of the same. • People management (induction, development & retention) • Overall operations, process and quality management • Provide SAP Archiving solution based on the environment Primary Skills • 7-8 yrs of IT and min 5-6 years of Strong Basis Experience • Expertise in 4 or more of the following areas on recent versions: SAP ECC, BI (including BI-BPS), SCM (LC), CRM , SRM, XI/PI(Multiple Scenarios), EP(federated and standalone), Solution Manager • Exposure to any of the new dimension products like PI, MDM, KM, EP. Knowledge about SAP Hana and components of BO skillset would be beneficial • Experience in NW2004/NW2004s, SAP HR(ESS/MSS etc), SAP TDMS, GHS, EH&S, GRC. • Must have experience in version upgrades planning and execution, OS/DB migration • Expert in all Basis administration tasks (ABAP + J2EE) including tasks like System Refreshes, Client Copies, Release Management, Cutovers etc • Involved in at least 2 end to end implementation experiences up to go-live. A minimum of 1 upgrade and 1 migration projects is beneficial. • Good exposure on Unix including cluster environment and Oracle Database Administration. Exposure on other Database Administration will be added advantage • Strong Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning Experience in all areas • Be able to Project the Technical & Process requirements for an optimized operation of the Basis team. • Exposure to ITIL Based processes will be advantage • Exposure to Third Party Tools like job scheduling tools and interfaces will be added advantage • Exposure to DR, setup, design, operations, testing. Secondary Skills • Exposure to various Unix OS and Databases Administration other than oracle • Exposure to Unix Shell scripting • Exposure to work on 3rd party tools Viz. Libelle, Redwood CPS, UC4 etc. Behavioral Skills • Customer focus • Leadership skills and team player • Must have good analytical skills • Quality oriented: Suggest and implement improvements/automation to improve quality and efficiency of the services delivered • Process oriented: Believe in defining and following standard processes.
