URGENT NEED !!* * * *Job Description:* Working within a team to perform Sybase ASE installation, replication, configuration, and troubleshooting within a Solaris 9 environment. Monitoring database operations. Analyzing and responding to performance and other maintenance issues. Performing periodic maintenance and database tuning. Reviewing and understanding log files. Reading and understanding the database model. Analyzing database objects to determine how the database design relates to project usage and business requirements. Suggesting changes to enhance database performance. Developing Level of Effort (LOE) estimates and project plans. Providing routine status reports to upper level management on current projects. Maintaining and coordinating required database security. Writing UNIX shell scripts and performing batch processing as needed. Interfacing with the customer to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support and technical input.
