Job title: Sr. Performance Testing Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 12 Months 3 + Years of experience in Performance Testing with tools like Mercury Load Runner, HP ALM Performance Center 3+ years of performance scripting with Oracle 3+ years of performance scripting with Websphere 3 + years with various protocols at a minimum Terminal Emmulator, and web services Ideal experience with TIBCO Businesss Works The department will be responsible for handling Quality Assurance, Software Engineering, Performance Management, Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning, Performance Modelling. This role is to be a leader and individual contributor in the centre of excellence (COE) around Performance Engineering for our client. This resource will help identify and execute best practices that will included but not limited to, tools, processes, measurements, execution of test and assist with providing or identifying education through training, marketing and knowledge sharing. The resource should have experience in the various types of testing for Reliability, Scalability, and Performance. The resource needs to have hands on experience in performance test execution and tuning. This resource will need to mentor others both on and offshore. The Senior Test Performance Engineering is responsible for: 1. Working with architects, developers, business teams, and business analysts to design valid tests, make performance recommendations, create and execute load/performance tests, and validate test results. 2. Responsible for scripting, data analysis, and debugging of data to ensure Performance Testing 3. Interact with the project stakeholders to gather preliminary data necessary to build load tests such as workload assumptions (expected peak user volume metrics), desired response time criteria (SLA), transactional data setup, master data setup, Data preparation using SQLs 4. Deliver effective and efficient testing solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, and adhering to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project management Methodology (PMLC) 5. Use the HP ALM console to schedule and run as many variations as needed of load tests of the target application, varying parameters such as the number of users, the speed of ramp up/ramp down of users, and simulated user think time and pacing 6. Conduct performance testing and monitor all performance metrics 7. Set up performance monitors and diagnose issues 8. Co-ordinate test windows and secure technical support for monitoring the infrastructure and to quality observations 9. Generate and review the performance test results with the technology team 10. Analysis performance metrics results and write final *go/no go* report 11. Interpret and summarize performance test metrics, including the ability to create and present result reports for various audiences 12. Serve as a very hands-on leader of a performance testing team consisting of on/offshore team members for application development. 13. Evaluate overall system capacity during end-to-end load tests 14. Provide insight into performance bottlenecks leveraging a variety of skills and tool sets on multiple platforms 15. Use C programming, correlation, parameterization, and simple protocol specific functions 16. Understands major business processes within the system and decides appropriate candidates for testing. 17. Access Web Servers, Application Servers and Database Servers in Unix/Linux/AIX environment to set up performance monitors and diagnose issues.
