Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Migration Location: Mettawa, IL (Onsite) Duration: 4-5+ months The requirement is for a PL/SQL / Unix Scripting / Java experienced developer (Java being the least important skillset required). Job description This is a Senior Application Developer role which will be responsible for the Web front end and Java back end development of a Service Management solution which runs on the CA Service Desk application platform. Basic Qualifications and Technical Skill Requirement A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field with a minimum of 7 years IT experience. 5 – 7 years of experience working with Oracle 9i / 10g PL/SQL (procedures, triggers etc.). 5 - 7 years or experience writing complex SQL Queries against Oracle 9.i / 10g. 5 – 7 years of experience working with TOAD / SQL Developer / equivalent tool. 5 - 7 years of experience developing UNIX shell scripts (such as ksh, python, Perl). 4+ years of experience developing applications using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, XML, HTML/HTMPL, CSS. 1 – 3 years of experience with UNIX, preferably with AIX UNIX version 5.x or higher 1 – 2 years of experience working with Software Version Control tools (i.e. MKS, Clear Case, etc.) 1 - 2 years of experience working with IBM WebSphere 6.x. or higher. 1 - 2 years of experience working with IBM RAD 6.x or higher. 5+ years of experience using standard Microsoft Tools (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint). Full competency, to devise or modify code to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Design, code, test, debug, and document those programs. Be competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications' programming activities. Additional Requirements Must be able to function independently with brief touch points on task statuses i.e. no daily hand holding. Must be able to work both within teams and individually. Must be well organized and able to manage time to meet aggressive deadlines / goals. Must have excellent communication skills. Must have excellent verbal and written command of English. The ability to work with little to no supervision; the ability to make decisions regarding assigned projects independently or with limited direction from management. Adheres to project schedules.
