Location - Santa FE, NM 6+ Months Contract Skype Interview Database Skillset: Experience with clustered and virtual servers, SQL Server 2005 & 2008R2, SQL Server Security administration, Maintenance plan creation, building new SQL Servers and SQL Profiler. Developer Skillset: Five years of experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio 2005 and 2010, ASP.Net version 1.1 and 4.0, C# and VB.Net, IIS7.5, Windows 2008 R2, debugging code, writing new code and converting code due to framework upgrades. 1. Disaster recovery strategy planning and testing for all OSC SQL Servers a. Develop recovery plan b. Create backups as needed (full/partial/transaction log) c. Test recovery at different levels d. Set up transaction logs and recovery plan e. Document backup schedules 2. Plan and assist with moving off of Physical Production SQL Server 2005 cluster onto Virtual Server 3. Analysis on moving from SQL 2005 to 2008 and develop test plans 4. Assist with security set up and review a. Review and document needed permissions and accounts b. Review and document account access and roles 5. Review Maintenance plans and recommend improvements 6. Assist with planning and developing process to load and sync staging and development databases a. Document b. Implement 7. Assist with planning for log creation and monitoring 8. Check database and table health and integrity, document methods to monitor health and recommend and implement best practices 9. Tuning current SQL a. Index review b. Index rebuilding 10. Remove current Exec statements (avoid SQL Injections) 11. Analysis and assist with test plan for moving our Production web server from Windows 2000 server to 2008 RS 12.
