A Life and Annuities Operations Business Analyst is needed to help on
implementation projects for a large effort to bring on and operationalize
several additional blocks of Life and Annuity business. The Life and
Annuities Operations Business Analyst will be responsible for developing
relationships with key client operational/business as well as technical
resources and other internal or external customer departments to facilitate
the flow of ideas and information to operationalize the business
processes.  Life and Annuities knowledge and experience in operations or
policy administration.

The Operations Business Analyst will work with facilitating business need
identification, developing proposed business and solutions, estimating
implementation costs and efforts, identifying, researching, and solving
operational or implementation issues and creating project proposals for the
recommended solutions.  Based upon customer requirements and approval the
incumbents may also develop business requirements for the
business/technology solutions that will allow the client and internal
customer departments to become more efficient and effective.

Duties Include:
Support development activities for new and existing Life and Annuities
Insurance clients; Define business needs, gathering requirements,
performing gap analysis, user acceptance testing; ensure quality of
solutions delivered and identify and develop continuous improvement
opportunities; manage Projects and leverage the PMO process and tools;
serve as contact for client, customer departments, business users, IT, and
vendors.

Desired Skills:
Solid work experience within the Life and Annuity Insurance industry,
particularly in operational and policy administration functions is
required. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in
service-oriented operations and must be able to work effectively at all
levels of an organization—with frontline operators, managers, and senior
executives—so strong interpersonal, written, oral, and communication skills
are vital.  Strong organizational, project management or customer service
relationship management skills are also very helpful.  Mutual Funds and
financial experience is also helpful.

Desired, but not required would be a LOMA (Life Office Management
Association) designation.  Examples of designations:  FLMI - Fellow, Life
management Institute ALMI - Associate, Life Management Institute CLU -
Chartered Life Underwriter CERA - Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst
