*Job Title: Server Engineer/System Admin Location: Boston, MA Duraiont: 3-6 months contract-2-hire Visa Status: GC or US Citizens *Description: **The Server Engineer is responsible for the installation, operation, administration and maintenance of all Windows 2008, Windows 2012 and Red Hat Linux servers as well as a Virtualized environment using VMware. Evaluates and monitors server operations and backups. Troubleshoots and resolves server problems. Recommends and implements machine modifications or additional equipment to increase system capacities as well as order and track delivery of such equipment. Analyzes the results of server monitoring and recommends changes to improve performance, processing and utilization. Proposes, maintains and enforces server policies, practices and security procedures. Implement Technology to upkeep the Server Build i.e. service packs, anti-virus definition files, HP software drivers, etc. Be involved in an on call rotation to support mission critical 24x7 patient care servers. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Configuration and deployment of servers. Performance monitoring, technical support and trouble-shooting of servers. Data integrity, backups, restores and disaster recovery. Problem analysis and recovery Technical consultation on projects. Ordering and tracking of new equipment * *Qualifications BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience MCSE or equivalent experience desired. 2-5 years I/T experience including Windows Server Operating Systems. Server administration experience in a large networked environment preferred.
