*Job Title : Senior Mainframe Engineer With HCM Location : LINCOLNSHIRE, IL Duration : 12 months contract * Must-haves 10+ years of experience as a mainframe engineer EMC Storage experience - Data Domain - they need to understand what is in a basic backup, including the recover aspects, and the mechanics of it Patch management HMC (IBM Hardware Management Console) experience Experience with IBM z/OS, z/VM Hardware upgrades and OS upgrades VSAM, TSO Backup recovery methods Plusses ITIL Project Management Day-to-Day This company has gone into an offshore/offshore mixed model and from an application standpoint that has been in place for a couple of years. Because of that, a lot of the knowledge base that was on site is no longer there, so this consultant will hand hold the offshore presence. Example- help someone create a data set, help with errors with batch processing, migrate to IBM disk array, server consolidation, and application related break/fix issues.
