Job Description:
The IT Business Analyst is a member of the Application Development Services
team to perform a variety of business analysis mainly in the Banking and
Payment

Services area. The GBT Banking & Payment Services group is responsible for
application development and support for various payments channels such as
Internal

Transfers, ACH, Outgoing Checks, Bill Pay, Wires, Real Time Available
Balance, Deposit Hold, Incoming Checks, Online Banking and Mobile Banking
for clients and

branches.
The candidate will be involved in one or more strategic projects at the
same time. Specific assignments will depend on the size and complexity of
the project but will

generally include:
Driving the requirements gathering process, including identifying key
business and IT contacts, working with users to define scope of project,
scheduling and running

requirements gathering sessions, prioritizing topics, scheduling meetings,
keeping meetings on track and productive.
Eliciting requirements from business users and creating detailed functional
requirements documents, use cases, wireframes, data flow diagrams, sample
reports, or other

similar artifacts.
Communicating requirements to offshore and onsite development teams
Acting as the interface and advocate between the business users and the
development teams.
Proactively identifying and managing issues to full resolution
Facilitating/assisting with User Acceptance Testing for the project

SKILLS REQUIRED
An undergraduate degree in business, finance or other related fields.
Critical thinking and translation of business needs into technology
solutions
Ability to analyze vague project requests and clarify into specific tasks,
next steps and deliverables
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
Excellent written/oral communication skills and listening skills
Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage and execute simultaneous
and tasks
Full systems development life cycle experience
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Visio
5 - 7 years hands-on experience performing detailed business analysis and
requirements specifications creation for complex broker/dealer systems
5+ years in financial services settings; preferably in brokerage and/ or
banking organization.
