The main responsibility for this role requires you to act as the liaison between Product, UI, Engineering teams and End Users for the new platforms facing internal and external customers that Product Team is rolling-out in 2013. This includes understanding and documenting business requirements, providing impact assessment and business analysis for product enhancements, change requests, new or existing features and related product workflows requested by the stakeholders. As the product analyst you will be also acting as the go-to person for any questions needing answers from beginning to end related to the platforms. This role is reporting to Product Manager. Job responsibilities: - Responsible for thorough understanding of how to interpret stakeholder business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. - Capture requirements from stakeholders, using interviews, workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis; - Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and distinguish underlying true needs. - Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the Business Requirements and Change Request documents as per required format and standards used in WU Digital. - Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies. - Work independently with stakeholders to define concepts and detailed requirements based on scope under direction of Product Management; - Use verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, managers, and subject matter experts. - Collaborate with engineering and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. Required skills: - Communication Skills: excellent language skills and outstanding written communication abilities are absolutely necessary. - Technical Skills: Must be aware of the RUP, Agile, software testing and system designing methodologies. Must demonstrate a strong technical aptitude. - Analytical Skills: outstanding analytical skills so that a stakeholder business needs are properly interpreted and translated into application and operational requirements. - Problem Solving Skills: ability to create workable solutions to business problems. Finding ways to quickly resolve problems and move toward a project’s successful completion. - Negotiation and Persuasion Skills: serve as a liaison between engineering and stakeholders. Finding the balance between technical and business needs.
