Anticipated Start: 7/15/2013
Role: Sr. Storage Ops
Purpose: Customer is deploying new EMC technologies (VPLEX &
SRDF) into a large VMAX SAN
environment. They are looking for a resident to
work alongside the EMC implementation
team and then stay on as their Operations resident.
In addition to strong skills the customer is
looking for a resident that will:
. Proactively offer recommendations to improve
operations, performance, etc.
. Work with other infrastructure groups (Systems,
VMware, Network) to whiteboard/design &
implement solutions
. Transfer knowledge to customer engineers
Day to Day: It's a long term resident that will
work under the direction of the customer.
. Initially the resident will assist the
implementation team, primarily to understand the
implementation and transfer that knowledge to
customer engineers.
. Post implementation the resident will work as a
member of the customers storage
operations team and will be expected to get
involved with the full range of Storage
Operation activities; managing/moving storage,
monitoring hw & remediating issues,
reporting.
