Role: Sr. Solutions Architect
Purpose: on site required
Sr SA will be mapped with a Program Manager and act
as the Technical Lead. Must be a big
thinker and visionary.
Must have broad EMC technology experience and
professional skills to lead a technical
team and have strong collaboration skills.
Will work with EMC sales to size and recommend
solutions and bring in any necessary
additional skills required for the solution.
Part of the scope will be recommending/deploying
mid-size solutions at remote locations,
assisting with migrations off NTAP so NAS/File
knowledge is a must have.
NOTE: flexibility is required, these requirements
may change over time as additional data
discovery is completed with the customer.
Provide customer with a Senior Solutions Architect
consultant responsible for the overall
technical architecture and design of the
environment and highly consultative in design and
architecture for complex environments that contain
multiple platforms of EMC hardware,
EMC software and various other infrastructure
products. This resident will provide ongoing
recommendations and Best Practices from a technical
and operational level to customer.
Principal duties and responsibilities include:
§ Providing technical leadership and is responsible
for the delivery of the technical
architectural design, strategies and plans that
will be a delivered on an ongoing basis.
§ Responsibility for ongoing management of
configuration and layout of storage
infrastructure.
§ Performing necessary storage infrastructure
maintenance in accordance with EMC and
customer change management policies.
§ Designing data migration architecture as required.
§ Providing analysis of Environment and Best
Practice knowledge transfer.
§ Responsibility for Runbook Design, Development,
and ongoing updates
§ Responsibility for ongoing recommendations and
best practices, as applicable, for the
following areas: Business Continuity, High
Availability, Backup, Recovery and Archiving.
§ Responsibility for Capacity Planning and Disaster
Recovery Planning and design as
applicable.
§ Providing ITIL Process Planning as applicable.
§ Recommending changes to procedures which result
in operational optimization and
improved SLAs
§ Participating in Root Cause Analysis reviews when
applicable
