Job Description
The College of Charleston is seeking an experience IT professional to
implement a new SharePoint 2013 system.
We expect you to architect, implement, advise, document and train all
aspects of a medium sized SharePoint 2013 implementation during this
engagement.
You will need to be an expert in SharePoint 2010/2013, SQL Server 2008/2012
and Windows Server 2008/2012 and HA configuration.
You will be familiar with VMware, SAN storage and IAM concepts including
Active Directory, Forefront Identity Manager and access permissions.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
WEEK 1-4 INCLUDES DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW ENVIRONMENT (TEST &
DEV)
AT LEAST 1 SQL CLUSTER AND AT LEAST 2 SHAREPOINT SERVERS WITH HA
CONFIGURATION OF USERS AND DEPARTMENTAL VOLUMES VIA EXTERNAL BINARY STORAGE
SOLUTION
CONFIGURATION OF MYSITE PORTAL AND FIM
DELIVERY OF TEST SITE TO PRODUCTION SYSTEM
WEEK 5-8 INCLUDES DOCUMENTATION, TESTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING
WORK WITH OUR WEB TEAM TO DEVELOP LOOK AND FEEL & MIGRATE OLD CONTENT TO
NEW SERVER
NETWORK DIAGRAMS AND DOCUMENTATION OF CONFIGURATIONS, PROCESSES AND
PROCEDURES
BEGIN EXTERNAL CONNECTIVITY THROUGH SECUREAUTH MFA AND SSO
WEEK 9-12 INCLUDE COMPLETION OF SSO AND MFA CONFIGURATION
COMPLETE SSO AND MFA CONFIGURATIONS VIA SECUREAUTH FOR EXTERNAL CONNECTIVITY
TRAINING OF SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATORS AND HELPDESK STAFF
ASSIST IN DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SITES
DELIVER FINAL DOCUMENTATION, RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ENHANCEMENTS, SCALABILITY,
PERFORMANCE CONSIDERATIONS AND OTHER RECOMMENDED TASKS


Required Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in technical field
Current Microsoft Certifications
4+ years experience designing, implementing and upgrading SharePoint Farms
(must have completed at least 3-5 SharePoint 2010 implementations)
4+ years experience with development of SharePoint template design, forms,
workflows, web parts, mysite, and custom pages
Experience linking user profile information with ActiveDirectory via FIM
Solid understanding of Microsoft SharePoint Services architecture,
components and configuration differences for all versions
Able to install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2008/2012, IIS,
SharePoint2010/2013 and MSSQL server 2008/2012 clusters
Working knowledge of MS SQL Server technology 2008/2012 with specific
SharePoint 2010/2013 database configuration requirements
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, DNS, SMTP, DHCP,
Internet standards and network security
Proficient in HTML, HTML5, DHTML, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, XML
Experience with out-of-the-box SharePoint features, InfoPath and other 3rd
party tools
Strong Interpersonal Skills – you must interact and communicate well with
teams
Solve problems proactively, learn new technologies quickly
Independent self-starter attitude
Good communicator -- share skills and information freely
Attention to detail

The Anticipated Timeline
Week 1-4 includes design and implementation of the new environment (Test &
Dev)
At least 1 SQL cluster and at least 2 SharePoint servers with HA
Configuration of Users and Departmental volumes via external binary storage
solution
Configuration of MySite portal and FIM
Delivery of test site to production system
Week 5-8 includes documentation, testing and troubleshooting
Work with our Web team to develop look and feel & migrate old content to
new server
Network diagrams and documentation of configurations, processes and
procedures
Begin External connectivity through SecureAuth MFA and SSO
Week 9-12 include completion of SSO and MFA configuration
Complete SSO and MFA configurations via SecureAuth for external connectivity
Training of systems administrators and helpdesk staff
Assist in development of new sites
Deliver final documentation, recommendations for enhancements, scalability,
performance considerations and other recommended tasks
