Job Title: PL/SQL Developer Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 6 Months contract Project Overview: Currently the organization is looking for a strong UNIX PL/SQL developer with Amisys experience. This is a person who is able to hit the ground running, with minimal direction, that is able to follow processes and requirements, including writing functional requirements documentation, as well as development and unit testing. This developer will be participating in our Exchange (HealthCare Reform) project. Utilize the established programming standards and policies to perform programing and system design development, coding, testing and implementation of the client-specific AMISYS code. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Project Lead to create, implement and test the programs, program interfaces and databases between AMISYS and the other client systems. Support the AMISYS programs and surround code during the development, test and warranty periods. Coordinate with the Project Lead to develop and implement the user test plans and new software implementations, which include the AMISYS modules and AMISYS systems extensions, as well as internal and third-party systems and applications. Work on programs and systems that are based on Oracle PL/SQL, which include stored procedures, COBOL and UNIX scripting. Assist with the development of the required interface documentation. Follow the processes and requirements, as well as wright the functional requirements documentation. Technical Skills: 5 years of progressively complex development and platform integration in an IS environment, preferably in a healthcare environment. 4 years of development experience with Oracle, PL/SQL and UNIX. Experience with AMISYS development of surround code related to Enrollment and Billing. Solid knowledge of the claims processing systems, along with reporting experience. Background in Enrollment and Billing in a healthcare payer setting. Knowledge of the EDI 834 process. Experience with AMISYS Advance Release 6 is preferred. IKA vendor process knowledge is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills and well-versed with the problem resolution methodologies. Excellent team management skills and strong communication skills. Strong customer-service orientation.
