*Position:Production Support Consultant* *Location: Jersey City, NJ* *Duration: 6+ Months* * * *Domain: Financial Service * * * *Mandatory Skills: Unix, Oracle* *Desired Skills: Unix, Oracle MQ, Java* *Job Description:* Need to work in Production Support environment and a prior experience in *Production Support project in the Financial Service domain* would be helpful. - Review, log, provide detailed investigation defined within the Incident Management process and provide technical resolution to Incidents. - Provide technical / service impact description within the Incident - Suggest and perform workarounds to minimize the operational and business impact of the Incident - Responsible to keep applications available for Business. - Is responsible for managing the root cause analysis, reporting and driving stability into the environment. - L2 will analyze Problem trends and recommend and implement as applicable actions to meet Service Levels. - Actively pursuing proactive actions to reduce the volume of incidents in the environment - Control Incident ageing under their queue - Fulfill SRs where resolution does not exist in knowledge database - Create knowledge articles for incidents and SRs where entries do not exist. - Identify gaps in Event Monitoring process and procedures and undertake steps to implement Continual Service Improvements to close the gaps - Provide Technical Support as agreed during a Change implemented into the Production environment. - Provide Technical Support post-Changes to the Production environment in line within the agreed Release Plan. - Log all manual activities in the AMA tool - Provide support for test and actual invocation of Disaster Recovery plans in support of the applications in scope. - Provide proposals to remediate or automate manual tasks - Provide proposals to eliminate recurring SRs or unnecessary SRs - Provide proposals to reduce number of incidents - Provide proposals to improve monitoring effectiveness - Provide proposals to improve support processes - Maintain process documentation (KOPs, run books) - Involve in weekly RTB, CTB, Pre and Post deployment calls and discuss with Application Services team regularly for any pending items. *Thanks & Regards,* *Alex Fernandes* *Technical Recruiter- Talent Management Group* *|| IT-SCIENT || Phone: 510.972.5255 || Email: [email protected]||Web:www.itscient.comll * * * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
