Title: Capacity Planning Engineer posted on 2013-09-20 13:51:51 Job Description:Able to provide analysis and support for large scale multitier application capacity and performance needs. •Ability to determine what system needs and when it needs it, using current performance as a baseline •Having understanding of performance testing (like CPU Utilizations, Response time, network latency, think time etc.) and Ability to use tools to parse, merge, analyze, and present performance data. •Should have knowledge of capacity performance tools and experience modeling capacity of distributed systems. •Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. 1. Study and Understand Application characteristics including Business demand drivers, transaction metrics, utilization and response time requirements 2. Create a Capacity Baseline and establish a repeatable process to track Capacity for new/existing Application Data collection and Formatting. 3. Maintaining Data repository Data correlation and trending. 4. Report any abnormal trends 5. Using monitoring tools to track every day data and gather additional information required based on need 6.
