Please send the resumes at [email protected] *Job Title: Oracle Developer Location: West Des Moines, IA 50266 Direction: 18 Month Contract* *Rate: $50/hr on C2C is Max and Best* *Job Description* The Database Analyst (DBA 5) position is part of CORE's Data Development Group within the Consumer Lending Technology team. *Daily activities could include any/all of the following: * Provides high technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases Consults with and advises senior management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction Serves as a consultant on Oracle e-business related technological issues Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff Perform Database functions based on Oracle 11g databases Perform Infrastructure support of various Oracle Database concepts, including but not limited to: connections, load balancing, failover, backup & retention, data guard, ASM, AWR, ADDM, SQL tuning, monitoring, scheduling Provide on-call support for production environment, conduct root cause analysis for issues Impacting OLTP and/or OLTP application performance Provide proactive monitoring of the database instances, and take preventive steps to ensure high availability and optimal performance Partner with development teams to create a high volume transaction system Recommend best practice SQL tuning approaches to development groups Research and design database/infrastructure solutions for scalability based on business requirements On the spot problem solving for complicated database and SQL performance issues This is an exciting group that is every changing and growing. He/She must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner to achieve our objectives. *Minimum Qualifications* 7+ years of experience with Oracle technologies (partitioning, security, performance tuning, memory management, SQL tuning, statistics gathering, Application audit logs, Oracle RAC, Scheduling, etc.) Installing and upgrading the Oracle databases and applying patches Generate and analyze AWR and ADDM reports Oracle database internal architecture knowledge.
