Roles & Responsibilities
The Cognos Lead Developer is responsible for the design, development and
deployment of multi-dimensional reports. Additional responsibilities include:
· Develop and implement test plans to ensure successful delivery of a
project
· Strong in COGNOS tools (report studio, Analysis studio, Event
Studio, Metrics Studio and other tools of Cognos, Performance Tuning, Report
propagation and & technology.
· Good in writing SQL queries.
· Knowledge on COGNOS Reporting tool
· Basic knowledge of UNIX
· Good communication skills
· Ability to work independently and interact directly with clients
· Work closely with business user areas to assure that their needs are
being met.
· Candidate should be able to understand the reporting requirements,
Architecture, and design decisions
· Candidate should have good experience in working with offshore and
onsite and interact and be the face of the team to the customer. And vice versa,
· Experience with user support
· Experience in providing training is desirable
· Research best practices and provide end user support for application
use, programming technique, data access
