Job Title: SCCM Administrator
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration:8 Month

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical
Utilize Symantec Ghost and other automated solutions to create computer
images, including both Microsoft and selected third-party applications, and
push them to desktop and laptop computers.
Use Microsoft SCCM, Secunia Enterprise, and other automated tools as needed
to push software patches and upgrades to servers and to desktop and laptop
computers, and to verify that the patches and upgrades were successfully
installed.
Maintain computer images, to ensure that each endpoint machine reimaged
gets the very latest set of mandatory security software, and both Microsoft
and third-party updates and patches.
Coordinate with the Desktop/Laptop and Server teams on Windows updates and
on GPO pushes to desktop and laptop machines.
Coordinate with IT Security Administrator to pull infected machines off of
the network, and to analyze, clean, or reimage the machines as directed.
Utilize Microsoft Active Directory to set up new users and delete those who
are no longer active, and set new users up on their machines.
Administer the hard drive encryption hardware/software, set up new users,
resolve issues.
Diagnose and resolve problems related to the above responsibilities,
hardware, software, or operator error, and resolve or repair; perform root
cause analysis/resolution.
Escalate complex problems to other groups, Help Desk, or vendors for
resolution or for support under maintenance agreements; oversee vendor
work.
Monitor and assess current systems and recommend hardware and software
enhancements.
Act as technical resource for other IT analysts and business units by
resolving complex computer equipment and systems problems.
Lead and execute small projects.
Maintain familiarity with current computer and network products.
Adhere strictly to state and agency information security guidelines and
promote information security among coworkers.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Non Technical
Effectively interact and communicate with peers to Director-level IT
professionals.
Provide feedback to team regarding product issues, enhancements and new
features.
Must have initiative, drive and be a self starter.
Ability to ask pertinent questions of others.
Proactively seek to identify, communicate and implement process related
improvements.
Effectively manage multiple tasks and activities concurrently and able to
provide periodic status updates to key stakeholders
Collaborate extensively with peers and management to resolve client issues
while actively contributing to a growing knowledge network that improves
the effectiveness of our team and the information available to our clients.
Prioritize numerous issues of varying severity, and effectively manage the
resolution of all issues within accepted service levels. This includes
ownership of the data entered into the Helpdesk system and appropriately
updating both client and appropriate employees of status of all issues on a
timely basis.
Good customer skills, be attentive to detail, and responsive to all duties
assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Expert knowledge of, and experience with Windows 7 on both desktop and
laptop computers.
Expert knowledge and experience with software installation.
Expert knowledge of, and experience with, Symantec Ghost or similar tool
for bulk reimage of large numbers of desktop and laptop computers.
Expert knowledge of, and experience with Microsoft SCCM and related tools,
such as Secunia, for remote upgrade and patch maintenance.
Expert Level working knowledge of PowerShell
o Ability to pull inventory statistics from AD and/or windows
servers/clients using PowerShell.
o Ability to automate administrative functions using PowerShell
o Ability to automate deployments using PowerShell
 Expert Level working knowledge of SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012
o Ability to pull inventory statistics from AD and/or windows
servers/clients using SCCM
o Ability to automate administrative functions using PowerShell
o Ability to automate deployments using PowerShell
o Ability to manage Windows 7 and Windows 8 using best practices as it
relates to SCCM management
Ability to define, document, and deploy fully automated imaging solutions
using industry standard tools such as SCCM and Symantec Ghost Enterprise.
o Automated imaging deployments of thousands of machines with minimal (to
no) end user interaction.
Extensive documentation skills
o Ability to create architectural documentation on existing environments
and more importantly recommendations on proposed improvements
o Ability to create training documentation for mid-level support staff
 Active Directory administration as needed to add and delete user accounts.
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and
Internet standards, including DNS and DHCP.
Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for policies,
procedures, and best practices.
Experience in monitoring infrastructure systems for Windows environments
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills a must.
Able to conduct research into infrastructure issues and products as
required.
Leading effective team meetings
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experienced hardware troubleshooting.
Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

The ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects up to 50 lbs,
such as computers and peripherals desirable but not required
