This individual would work with other architects/engineers, product development and infrastructure teams and vendors to administer configure and operate the SOA/middleware/mobile technology stack and deployed applications and services. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Expert experience w/ SOA/middleware technology specifically Oracle SOA Suite and related technology; administration, configuration and monitoring for operations effectiveness in business-critical environments. Collaborate and coordinate with SM team and others during application/service deployment to ensure timely and correct deployments. Provide monitoring oversight of day-to-day operations of SOA/middleware technology and applications. Provision, configure and update web, application server and SOA environments. Execute processes to maintain data retention policy and operational readiness of web, application server and SOA environments e.g. purging Troubleshoot and debug SOA/middleware technology and applications. Provide input and assist in performance tuning and capacity planning activities. Provide input and assist with implementation of processes and procedures around various Service Management team initiatives related to SOA/middleware infrastructure, applications and services. Provide input and assist with implementation for processes and procedures around the provisioning, configuration management and operational control of SOA/middleware technology environments. Provide input and assist with implementation for processes and procedures to automate the deployment and runtime management of SOA/middleware applications and services. Provide input and assist with implementation for processes and procedures to monitor SOA/middleware applications and services, track/report service metrics and ensure SLA compliance. Provide SOA/middleware technology configuration and operational support to product development teams as needed. Education/Experience: BS/MS in computer science, engineering or information technology or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SOA and Java/J2EE related middleware administration, configuration and management. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the administration, configuration and management of Oracle SOA Suite. Knowledge and experience in configuring, operating and troubleshooting web server, J2EE application server and SOA technology environments. Knowledge and experience administrating, configuring and troubleshooting Oracle WebLogic, Oracle JMS, and Oracle SOA Suite are required. Knowledge and experience administrating, configuring and troubleshooting Apache and tcServer is preferred. Experience provisioning, configuring and managing WebLogic domains. WLST and/or JMX experience is desired. Experience working with vendor support teams on patch management, problem tickets and issue resolution. Experience in operations and monitoring of application servers, JMS, BPEL processes. Experience in the configuration, administration and use of Oracle Enterprise Manager in a SOA environment is desired. Experience in configuring and troubleshooting SQL and Oracle databases that support SOA and J2EE applications. Operational experience with IT service management technology and tools. Specific experience with ServiceNow is preferred. Skills and Competencies: Knowledge and experience with web services application standards and related technologies i.e. WS-*, WSDL, XML, XSD, XQuery Knowledge and experience with BPEL process testing, deployment and configuration. Knowledge and experience with SOAP/REST services testing, deployment and configuration. Understanding and configuration of SOA security including web services, mobile API, SSL, OAuth and related standards. Experience with XML and/or API gateways desired. Basic understanding of middleware network architecture and load balancing design and operations. Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects, set priorities and maintain schedules. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong collaboration, teamwork and facilitation skills and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, start-up environment. Ability to communicate effectively with project staff, project management, subcontractors, vendors and customers to solve complex issues.
