*Duration: 6 Months * *Citizen OR Green Card Only* *EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:* Cognos Framework Manager modeling. Cognos report development. Cognos Application Administration. Developing sql for Teradata, Oracle and MS SQL Server databases. Data modeling. Analysis, design and development of software systems. Analysis, design and development of Business Intelligence systems. Analysis, design and development of Data warehouses. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* *Accountable for developing Cognos Framework Models against Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL Server and MS Analytic Services.* The candidate will be responsible for the development of Cognos reports and dashboards based on user requirements. The candidate will provide production support of the Cognos development, Quality and Production environments. Work with the Client systems life cycle deliverables for PC and Mainframe applications. Able to translate data models and business requirements into models and reports. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements and maintains moderate to complex models and reports. Performs all of the steps required to design, test, and code such models and reports. Provides production support through problem analysis and resolution to correct deficiencies. Performs assignments under direct supervision. *COMPETENCIES:* Analyze problem or new request; design problem or new request resolution; familiar with SDLC methodologies; develop program specifications; design testing requirements; code modules according to specifications and client standards; prepare test plan and test modules; develop program and system documentation; conduct program and system implementation; maintain application production environment; respond and resolve production problems; and respond and resolve user inquiries. Conduct user and technical training. Mentor technical resources. *QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelors degree or equivalent training or work experience; understanding of customer's business operations and products produced; knowledge of systems applications delivery tools and techniques. Four to six years of applications programming experience or equivalent; three to five years of experience in respective database area; experience in more than one database structure (hierarchical, network or relational); understands the pros and cons of each; experience with tools and utilities for platform; and understand the pros and cons of different designs with respect to storage, system performance and user flexibility.
