*Duration: 4 Months CTH* *Citizen OR GC only* *LOCALS ARE PREFERRED * The Front End Developer/Designer role will design, build and maintain Web site prototypes using best practices in order to promote awareness of client’s products and services. The Ideal candidate is someone who is eager to understand our products, is strategic and conceptual thinker that pushes the envelope creatively while pursuing the collaboration of a team, and is an expert in the technologies required to make our work efficient, dynamic and reusable. This candidate will work closely with the Business System Analysts to gain an understanding about the projects, our users and create the best user-centric solutions by proposing visual design concepts and functioning UIs which best meet the business stakeholder’s visions for the product. This challenging role requires a wide array of design and technical skills, as well as the vision necessary to develop a prototype from concept stage to implementation which satisfies the business model. Must be able to work in a diverse, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment! *Requirements:* *Front-End Development* - 5+ years of hand coding clean, organized, standard compliant, browser compatible, table less, reusable XHTML and CSS from Photoshop files and deliver the designed proposal for both online and mobile platforms. - Candidate must show the portfolio. - Working knowledge with Java Script, AJAX, jQuery libraries using Visual Studio within the .NET environment. - Must collaborate with the back end development teams when proposing new solutions. - Great to have an understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, Quality assurance processes. *User Interface Design* - 3+ years of using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. - 3+ years of experience with web/graphic design. - Strong sense of design, typography, color theory and layout. - Able to conceive and develop creative solutions to various UX/UI problems. - Has a clear vision in how to help establish and refine a stronger visual identity for our product. *Must have skills:* - Photoshop and Illustrator CS4. - HTML 5. - CSS3. - JavaScript. - jQuery. - Familiarity with the .net environment and Visual Studio. *Personality Traits:* - Strong attention to detail. - Great problem solver. - Self-motivated. - Organized. - Trusting. - Efficient. - Desire to learn. - Excellent communicator. - Team player. - Willing to follow and understand our process. - Understands prioritization and meeting deadlines.
