Job Description : - Coordinate WebSphere upgrade activities for Java applications in a WebSphere/AIX/Oracle environment. - Create technical design / upgrade documents for multiple web applications in this environment. - Deliverables include system and component documentation, including Class Models, system overview and developer standards. - Strong familiarity with UML and Design Patterns is a must. - Creation and analysis of standard re-usable components, evaluation of existing codebase to determine upgrade path. - Architect new/upgrades to applications using a combination of existing toolsets and custom code while constantly evaluating opportunities to create additional reusable components in support of the business. - Perform code reviews to confirm that client design standards are being followed or created as necessary. - Development work is required and is expected that the candidate has a strong development background and is able to create “proof of concept” scenarios, evaluate potential 3rd party tools and provide leadership for other developers.
