*SUMMARY OF POSITION*

The SAP Application Development Team Lead for SAP applications will manage
SAP ABAP and technical team as part of Application Management Services
organization.



The SAP Development Lead is responsible for:

·         overseeing SAP development initiatives and team members

·         coordinating work in accordance to the requirements from other
functional support areas

·         ensure quality delivery results

·         adhering to / establishing SAP application development standards
and solution

·          assisting in the development of processes and procedures for
development and delivery

·         Ensuring execution of development changes according to defined
development methodology

·         Ensuring documentation of efforts according to business

·         ensure appropriate testing and delivery to minimize defects in
production.

·         establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with
various IT and business teams and SAP IT support teams

·         monitoring and reporting on the process of development against
plan

·         identifying risks and issues early and rectifying problems and
deviations from plan

·         ensuring development projects take full account of and correctly
interface with existing systems, infrastructure and enterprise architecture

*POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS*

*EXPERIENCE REQUIRED*

Functional /Technical

·         5+ years of demonstrated hands on experience in business
application design, implementation for SAP applications.

·         Minimum 3 years of team lead experience leading a development
team with proven success on multiple enterprise-wide software development
projects with support and delivery in a production support role in a medium
to large business is required

·         Minimum 8 years of experience utilizing SAP NetWeaver and ABAP
technologies like Workbench, DDIC object, BAPI, BADI, RFC, ALE/EDI, IDOCs,
ALV Grids, Webdynpro, LSMW, BDCs, SAP Script, Workflow Customization, Smart
forms and Adobe Forms is required

·         Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP architecture, design and
development to enable review of the development team’s work and guidance,
as appropriate is required

·         Minimum 5 years of SAP development experience, producing
achievable designs that meet business needs and are aligned to the overall
technology strategy and architecture

·         Minimum 5 years of entire Software Development Life Cycle
experience, delivering functionality on time, on budget and to meet
business needs.

·         Minimum 5 years of planning and organizational skills, including
ability to engage with multiple development projects concurrently and
working to tight deadlines

·         Familiar with ITSM / Service Desk ticketing systems



Process Experience

·         Understands ITIL concepts for Production Support

·         Understands Level 2 support requirements

·         Understands Incident Management, Problem Management, Change
Management processes

·         Understands how to work in a managed service environment driven
by SLAs

·         Ability to manage and direct a combined onshore/offshore team



Team Lead Experience

·         Will be expected to chair meetings for clients and review
SLA-related information, Root Cause Analysis of significant issues is
discussed and prioritization of work is mutually agreed upon

·         Experienced in providing mentoring to team members

·         Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability, successfully lead
& supervise a team, gaining the respect and support of all team members

o    Self-starter, works independently

o    Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and ability to achieve
results

o    Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to
express complex technical concepts in business terms.

o    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.  Attention
to detail.

o    Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team
commitment to tasks.  Ability to influence key individuals inside and
outside of own group

o    Ability to follow corporate standards with respect to tools and
processes

o    Strong knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and
technical design techniques

o    Ability to adapt and rapidly apply changing technology to business
needs

o    Ability to handle multiple assignments

o    Effective decision making



*TECHNICAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATION(S) AND LICENSE(S)*

PC Skills / Microsoft Applications…  ITIL certification and/or SAP
Certifications desirable
