*Duration of Assignment: 6 Months Work Location: Jersey City , NJ* Role : MS SQL DBA. Candidate is expected to have strong background and hands-on experience on all DBA functionalities. Required Skills: · 8-10 years of experience with MSSQL server. · Should have experience in installing and configuring various versions of MSSQL server. · Should have experience in upgrading MSSQL server to 2008 and 2012 · Must have windows scripting skills for monitoring and reporting. · Should have experience implementing MSSQL replication. · Must have experience is implementing DR solution for MSSQL using log shipping or SQL mirroring. · Should be able to hit the ground running & quickly identify the root cause behind the performance issues and provide solutions. · Should have experience dealing with MSSQL Dynamic management views and functions for performance analysis. · Should have experience using SQL profiler and perfmon for troubleshooting performance issues. · Excellent communication & coordination skills is required. · Strong initiative and sense of ownership. · Should have experience in migrating servers across data centers.
