Please send the resumes at [email protected] Job Title:SQL Server DBA Location: NYC Duration: 6 Months Oracle/SQL Server - Database Administrator - Consultant - New York, NY RESPONSIBILITIES Database server administration (creation, configuration, set-up, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting/problem resolution, performance tuning) Application database support (database import/export, security, and performance tuning) Documentation development (standards, procedures, and other technical documentation) Monitor ongoing performance of Oracle databases and SQL server databases. REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator, working directly with both database servers handling mission critical production environment Experience working with Oracle 11g in a unix environment Experience in the use of Oracle Data Guard, shell scripting in unix environment, PL/SQL, RMAN, Oracle Grid Control, Oracle Diagnostics and Tuning Packs , performance tuning, SQL Server Report Service, Windows Clustering, and DoubleTake Exposure to SQL 2012 a plus Experience with LVTS or DoubleTake a plus Comfortable to resolve issues independently with a sense of urgency and confident in supporting a fast-pace environment Ability to develop effective internal/external working relationships Exhibits self-confidence in one work, can be a problem solver as well as a team player Available to support after hours and weekends as needed.
