*Websphere Admin* Location: Boston, MA Duration: 6+ month Client: Commonwealth of MA Phone than face to face * Job duties: * - Analyze high-level requirements and develop detailed design documents for new applications using Websphere, MQ and other IBM tools. - Monitor health, and provide problem resolution that includes the diagnosis and root cause analysis of problems with the Websphere, and MQ environments including hardware and software on stand-alone and distributed platforms. - Support standard software maintenance, and application deployments and releases - Provide high-level technical assistance to application development teams - Maintaining the system integrity and security by following the Server Configuration Standards and IT Controls - Evaluate other IBM tools, and support them as necessary *Required Skills: * - 7+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years of WebSphere administration - Experience with design, configuration, testing, migration and implementation of Websphere, and MQ on Linux, AIX, and Windows platforms. - Ability to identify, test and implement new or updated tools to support the Websphere and MQ infrastructure. - Good understanding of J2EE, JVM and ability to perform Installation of application/web servers - Detailed understanding of WebSphere Application Server Clustering for High Availability or other HA models - Configure Virtual Machines, Clusters, JMS, Virtual Hosts, JDBC, LDAP, auto-deployment, session replication, URL redirections, Re-write rules, http-Plugins etc. - Installation and management of security certificates - Scripting skills to automate jobs and WLST/WSADMIN scripting - Monitoring, tracking, trending, analyzing, troubleshooting and performance tuning of the WebSphere Application Server and Apache HTTP server environments - Thread dump and log analysis - Follow stringent change management practices and policies in Production and other environments - Deploying applications in Websphere, and Apache - Basic knowledge of various operating systems(Linux, AIX, Windows etc.) - Basic knowledge of network infrastructure for e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall, router, load balancer etc. - Experience in evaluating and eliminating single points of failure with Websphere, MQ on the hosted platforms.
