*Please send resume to s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com> * Job Title: MS Access Developer Location: Des Moines, IA Duration: 6 Months Direct Client Position The SRIB (securities and regulated industries bureau) of the Iowa Insurance Division (IID) is seeking a business consultant to create technical specifications for a new ACCESS database for the SRIB. This will include designing new functionality for e-filing, data analysis and reports. After obtaining necessary internal approvals, the SRIB will then hire a software programmer to build the system. The business consultant will act as the IID's project manager and monitor the work of the programmer. The Regulated Industries Unit (the RIU) regulates (among other things): funeral homes that operate perpetual care cemeteries; the agents that sell contracts for perpetual care on behalf of the funeral homes; and the sellers of pre-need funeral contracts (collectively, "pre-need services"). The RIU has a process for issuance and renewal of licenses for the entities. The RIU requires the entities to file certain annual reports. Insurance companies and financial institutions also submit annual reports to the RIU regarding the activities of the entities. RIU staff compare the reports as part of the IID's review of the operations of the entities. This is currently a manual process. The RIU conducts audits of the entities and wants to attach audit reports and related correspondence to the licensing record. The RIU has several other license types it administers and the new system must also accommodate those other licenses.
