We are calling it a "Business Analysts" role, but in reality it will be a
little broader than that. It will lean toward the characteristic Program
Manager role at MS, but there is a sensitivity to the title. Additionally,
this person needs strong communications skills and the ability to adapt to
the culture and business domain VERY QUICKLY
*General characteristics*
- *Analytical*- Able to absorb/define requirements, document
requirements and create specifications, become a virtual SME in that area.
- *Technical* - Moderate - Capable of understanding architecture and
technologies being utilized
- *Project Management* - Able to manage portions of the project.
- *Strong in Design Sensibility** - *Be the voice and advocate of the
customer at all times and at the same time be able to work with all
disciplines to make things happen.
*Skills*
- *Ability to create high quality documentation *
- *Strong Communication and Good listener *
- *Develop understanding & vision for the product area *
- *Problem Solver/Unblocker *
- *Leadership in feature area*
- *Cross team collaboration *
*Tasks:*
- *75% Requirements & Spec writing*
- *20% Prioritization, clarification, Conflict Resolution of work and
Features in assigned area*
- *5% Team representation and leadership*
