We have an immediate opening for an experience
Windows/Linux Build-Release Engineer. Your skills are needed to assist a
trading technology company specializing in the development of electronic
correlative and algorithmic trading systems and located in Chicago, IL
60606. We are looking for individuals with a passion for software build
automation. The ideal candidate will be a Build Engineer with a strong
development background that enjoys solving complex build problems and work
towards making them run faster and more efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the entire build process.
- Automation of scripts.
- Daily maintenance of source repositories.
- Distributed deployment and install of releases to single/multiple-host
environment.
- Collaborate with other teams to support builds.
- Monitor progress and adjust resources and priorities accordingly.
Required Skills:
- Linux and Windows OS
- Experience with Linux package managers (RPM or DEB)
- Scripting, one or more of the following: Bourne, Korn shell, C shell,
Bash, Python, Perl etc...
- Apache Ant Scripting / Maven or Make
- Source Control: Subversion or CVS Source Control - Branching / Merging /
Tagging
- Solid understanding of RDBMS
- Automated Build implementation tools like Hudson / Cruise Control
- Knowledge of Job management and scripting
- Experience with Git or Bamboo or Fisheye
- Knowledge of Object Oriented, multi-threaded programming is a plus
- Knowledge of JIRA/Core Java/XML Schemas is a plus
