RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role is part of a 3 year development, implementation and support
project of a core insurance solution, integrating a large number of
existing systems and data interfaces.
The Reporting Lead ETL Developer responsibilities include, but are not
limited to:
. Serve as an interface between the developers and management
. Research and analyze various data source systems
. Support requirements definition and contribute to documentation of
project and system documentation
. Provide ETL design, development and testing estimates based on
requirements and data analysis
. Perform data modeling and interface design
. Lead the tasks of the ETL development team
. Review designs, test plans and code to ensure high levels of
performance, data quality, and maintainability
. Perform hands-on ETL design, development and testing
. Serve as a mentor for ETL developers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or
related field
. 5+ years of experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
. 5+ years of experience in data warehouse architecture
. Experience providing technical designs, code reviews, test
plans/results review
. Experience with ETL design techniques to support restarts and high
volume data loading techniques
. Deep understanding of relational database concepts
(dimensional/snowflake)
. Experience leading development teams
. 5+ years of experience with Informatica
. Experience with data quality and profiling methodologies and tools
. Proficient with SQL and query optimization
. Expert in data modeling
. Specific experience with Netezza and SQL Server
. Experience with TFS, Jira or other version control frameworks
. Experience operating within strict processes and controls for
deployments to multiple environments
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
. Ability to form durable, flexible work relationships
. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Preferred
. Experience with Guidewire or other insurance systems
. Experience with Scrum
. Experience working with global development teams
