PL/SQL is the most important part of the job - they need to be experts. Intermediate skills won't cut it - I need someone who can look at our system, break the code down to the fundamentals, and advise how to build it back leaner/meaner. 2. Java knowledge is important too, but if we found a PL/SQL "rock star" I'd trade the Java skills in favor of that. 3.
