SQL Server DBA at Jacksonville FL 6 months Contract Overview: The SQL Server DBA has overall responsibility for the design, implementation and administration of the SQL Server databases, environment architecture and data management functions in support of the company's OLTP/OLAP projects and initiatives.
Requirements: * 4-6 yearsexperience as a senior operational DBA supporting OLTP / OLAP environments including implementation and design of data warehousing and business intelligence solutions. * Expertise in logical and physical data warehouse database design and performance optimization. Should have proven experience in database design, data modeling knowledge and experience related to supporting development life-cycle multi-dimensional BI/data warehousing implementations. * Experience and demonstrated competencies implementing multi-dimensional design, star schemas, facts and dimensions. * Comprehensive understanding of data management best practices including demonstrated experience with data profiling, sourcing, and cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching. * Working knowledge and experience with data, master data and metadata related standards, processes and technologies. * Deep knowledge and operational experience with Microsoft SQL Server related tools, technologies and products (SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services,BIDS, SSDTetc). * Experience with schema management and tools such as ERwin, Idera, SQL Compare or equivalent tools. * Proficient in SQL, Microsoft Office (Word,Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) * Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication at all organizational levels. * Experience in working with distributed development teams; offshore, onshore, and near-shore. * B.S in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent business experience.
