Position: Performance Test Engineer Location: Plano, Texas Term: 6+ months contract JOB PURPOSE The Performance Test Engineer is responsible for application performance by doing hands on Performance Testing, Analysis and Performance Certification reporting. Also this candidate will provide consultation to the technology team to resolve issues and proactively reduce production incidents. JOB REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline - Must have at least 5-7 recent years of performance testing experience using HP LoadRunner, including the latest version and 1-2 years in a lead role. - Must have significant experience using diagnostics and monitoring tools preferably HP SiteScope. - Ensure project deliverables are in compliance with RAC standards, including appropriate project documentation archival and sign-off as required corporate standards - Experience in managing complex issues and risks, including appropriate verbal and written communication at all levels (upward, peer-to-peer and team) - Must have interpersonal skills dealing with partner teams, technology and business leaders, staff and peers. - Must have an understanding of how to work with multiple VUGEN protocols (i.e. RDP, Web, Webservices etc.). - Adept at troubleshooting, understanding and explaining errors uncovered throughout the performance testing process. - Must be able to work independently across multiple projects at a time while following a formal process. 1. Strong experience in technical documentation including test plans, scripts, scenarios, analysis, monitoring and summary reports. 2. Prioritizes performance test cases taking into account business priorities, risk, and combinatorial analysis 3. Reports test progress and quality status to project stakeholders 4. Reports defects and shepherds them through the defect life cycle to closure 5. Identifies test data requirements and offers approaches to test data generation. 6. Analyzes results and recommends changes based on results. 7. Understanding and experience with Continuous Integration and continuous deployment processes. 8. Prior experience working within the Retail Industry preferred. 9. Familiarity with SCRUM processes and Agile Development Methodologies preferred. 10.
