We are looking for an experienced web application QA Engineer to test
and validate awesome map-based apps.
If you're a QA engineer who's a perfectionist and does not leave a pixel
out of place. Being in this position means you'll be doing a bit of
everything with lots to learn from and contribute to: lots of automated
testing and automation in general, making architecture decisions,
feedback on feature concepts... you name it. If you're the kind of QA
who raises concerns before they become an issue and asks a lot of
questions until a concept is waterproof you're our kind of QA.
*Skills:*
. Experience testing HTML5/CSS/Javascript apps
. Experience testing RESTful APIs
. Experience with automated functional testing of Javascript apps
*Nice things to have:*
. You love maps and have done stuff with them
. You have worked testing AngularJS or other MV-Whatever JS framework
. You are familiar with LESS and Bootstrap for some CSS magic
. You have been in contact with modern Javascript tools such as:
o Jasmine for unit testing
o Karma test runner
o Grunt for deployment automation
o Frisby/SoapUI for API integration tests
o Acceptance and functional testing with Cucumber/Gherkin and Selenium
. You don't let a single pixel on screen be out of place
. You believe that solid testing is the only way to go
. You optimize your time -- if you can automate something repetitive
and boring like deployment, you do it quickly
. You care about performance -- if you notice load/render times are
slow, you will push the team to do it
. You have contributed to open source projects
. You believe in using the right tool for the job, but you don't
think twice before playing around with new things.
