We are specifically looking for candidates with a technical background and an aptitude for testing large-scale, cloud-based systems. The candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills. The candidate should also be able to communicate well with a range of disciplines (marketing, finance, sales, development, etc.), be an independent thinker and excel at driving projects to completion. *Primary functions * · Work with business managers to translate ambiguous business questions into quantifiable analytic requests, then answer them using available tools & systems. · Project manage a prioritized queue of open requests and timelines, escalating conflicts in priority and other risks as appropriate to maintain transparency and manage expectations. · Develop, track and analyze metrics to yield insights that help us better attract, engage, retain and monetize customers who play our games · Develop, manage and publish a calendar of recurring weekly, monthly and annual scorecards and reports · Identify and analyze data conflicts between source systems and data warehouse systems and reconcile conflicting or ambiguous information · Work with developer, test and site production teams to ensure accurate data integration implementation and to improve data quality. *Position requirements * · Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience · 3-6 years of experience in data analysis and reporting · Superior quantitative, analytic, logical reasoning skills. Working familiarity with statistics and statistical concepts · Familiarity with Microsoft query and analysis tools and databases including proficiency in transact SQL · Experience managing design, development, and improvement of reports and scorecards through Excel/OLAP pivot tables. · Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Pig or other big data technology a plus · Experience with Omniture, or other web analytics tools a plus · Demonstrated leadership competencies with the ability to collaborate with others and establish working relationships. · Strong creative problem solving, analytical and project management skills · *Passion for games is a must and prior experience in the gaming or entertainment industry would be a huge asset.* *Location: Redmond, WA* *Duration: 9 – 12 Months* *Job Title: Hadoop Consultant* *NOTE: MSBI is Not a Skill.
