The individual selected will assist the District functional personnel to identify their needs and advise them on possible technical solutions. Technical solutions could range from a simple spreadsheet, to a SharePoint site, to a local .NET application to an Enterprise Application. This individual where assigned, will work with the Central Office Business System Support Office to educate, market, etc., existing Enterprise Applications that have applicability to the local needs and/or facilitate requesting enterprise application development/enhancements. This individual needs to be well rounded in Information Technology and have excellent communication and coordination skills. . Provide Information Technology Support to end-users at remote sites as needed. . Position is responsible for utilizing the service desk to document solutions to IT problems. Provide end-user training, as needed. Traveling required. The Turnpike is looking for a candidate that has the following. Minimum Expectations a minimum of 3 years of experience in most of the areas, of WEB, ASP.Net (current versions), Experience in developing reports utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), an understanding of WEB building/monitoring and compliance tools Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) for relating to Customer and understanding their requests. Must have demonstrated skills in graphic applications, HTML development tools and other applicable authoring tools, web production, front-end development using programming and scripting languages Must be able to integrate design into program rules and system architecture and create innovative approaches to improving the end-user experience. Must be familiar with platform/browser compatibility and basic usability issues. Duties & Responsibilities District and Central Office Application Support - websites, SharePoint sites, and local applications Functional Office Technical Liaison - meet with local functional offices to assess and recommend technology to assist in meeting their goals Enterprise Application Liaison - work with the local users to identify their technology and application needs. Work with the Central Office Business Systems Support Office to meet those needs. Ensures the coordination of assigned Intranet and web development activities, ensuring integration with other technologies utilized in the enterprise and continuity across applications Responsible for gathering business requirements and translating them into Intranet/web architecture to achieve business objectives. Accountable for the design, upgrading, enhancement, maintenance, availability, and effectiveness of technical functionality and content for one or more web sites of the enterprise. Coordinates the publishing of web site content, user interface, look/feel, and level of specificity to suit a wide range of needs. Researches, evaluates and recommends new Internet tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities Responsible for change management procedures regarding the installation and testing of all upgrades and enhancements for the Internet/Intranet infrastructure. Coordinates efforts with the FDOT Service Desk to ensure all calls outside the customer environment are effectively resolved. Responsible for requirements gathering and articulation of user interface issues - including development of page/site prototypes. Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming principles, design and practices. Must be able to code specifically in Visual Studio.NET or C#.NET at an intermediate level minimum. Will be required to code, thoroughly test, and debug applications using web based and object oriented programming languages. Ability to work effectively with users to identify and document requirements for the maintenance or development of computer systems Knowledge of Web development concepts using SharePoint Designer 2007/2010/2013, HTML, XML, Visual Basic, CSS, SQL, C#, C++, ASP.NET Knowledge of MS SharePoint administration /Central Administration, and web applications. Strong master page and layout design skills Knowledge of SharePoint Development, Deployment, Design, implementation best practices, and web publishing procedures.
